On February 9 2007, Pegasus Gaming Corporation, a leading turnkey I-gaming platform in Europe, announced that they are now exploring the probability of setting up video technology that will give live feeds for its casino games.
As part of the integral process, online casinos traditionally rely on Random Number Generators. The Random Number Generators generate numbers through the server, which in turn displays the numbers chosen by the server. However, this process has raised concerns to players, which is why Pegasus Gaming searched for an alternative that would provide an interactive streaming video of a live dealer.
The video will allow online players to play against live video dealers, as if they were playing inside a land based casino. As part of the initial live video offering, the online players will have the chance to play baccarat, the leading casino game in Europe. Other games, such as blackjack and roulette will follow soon.
David Cheng, Pegasus CEO and Gaming President, said that the new technology they are offering will set their company apart from other gaming providers in Europe. He further stated that licensees of the live video dealer technology will enjoy additional revenues through their new products.
