PartyGaming has made a bid to acquire Gamebookers, an online sports betting firm, for one hundred two million euros.
Gamebookers is sports betting site on the net that does not accept wages from U.S residents.
Under the Wire Act law, taking wages through telephone is illegal.
After the arrest of former CEO of Bet On Sports David Carruthers, analysts said that it is the U.S. move to crackdown online gambling.
According to PartyGaming, the company will strictly implement that no bets from the U.S customers will be allowed.
PartyGaming has announced that the acquired Gamebookers will be offered along with the other products of casino games.
Spokesman John Shepherd of PartyGaming, said that the plan of the company is to make their online site be available internationally and to spread the product base.
Gamebookers offers sports betting in twelve different languages and has two hundred fifty thousand registered clients in one hundred forty countries.
Gamebookers holds Antiguan license and holds its major operation from Bulgaria.
The betting company had twenty five million sports bets in 2005 with an average bet size of more than seven euros.
Gamebookers was acquired from Trident Gaming Company for eighty one million euros upon the completion of the buy out and another twenty one million euros for wighteen months.
