The Grand Opening of Pinnacle's Lumiere Place

On December 20th, 2007, Pinnacle Entertainment announced the opening of Lumiere Place, the gambling organization's brand new casino and entertainment facility in St. Louis. The property is right next to St. Louis Business District, the America's Center convention center, the Edward Jones stadium that can accommodate 66,000 people and the Laclede's Landing entertainment district and the famed Gateway Arch.

To give importance to the opening ceremony, Pinnacle Entertainment Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Daniel R. Lee and St. Louis Mayor Francis G. Slay switched on a switch to light the huge light box or Lumiere that surrounds the 24-story tower. Lumiere Place, with an initial investment of $507 million, showcases a big casino facility with 2,000 slot machines and forty-five casino table games.

It also has two hotel facilities, the 200 room Four Seasons Hotel and the 295 room HoteLumiere. It has more than 2,000 parking area and can be access from Interstate 70 and the Dr. Martin Luther King and Eads bridges. Todd George, the Vice President and General Manager of Lumiere Place said that this had been a long awaited opening.
