Fontainebleau Las Vegas Casino Plans Brand New $2.8 Billion Expansion

On April 30, 2007, Fontainebleau commented that they are planning to open around 3,889 hotel rooms at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas by late 2009. The 100,000 sq ft hotel complex will offer condo-hotel units, suites and hotel rooms with a casino gambling area, nightclubs, a health spa and a convention center.

The company, which is owned by the Turnberry Associates main principal Jeffrey Soffer, quietly opened ground on the 9.91 hectare site located north of the Riviera Hotel and Casino complex in February 2007 and has kept their plans private until now.

Fontainebleau CEO, Glenn Schaeffer, commented that it will be a modern design mixed with contemporary blend, breathtaking design, top class architecture, state of the art technology and a cool music.

Schaeffer added that the plans also show good faith in the condo/hotel business plans, which allows patrons to buy condominium residences and then have them rented as a hotel room for a share in the profits when they are not occupied. Schaeffer said that this is one way for their customers to take part in the company's success.
