Chickasaws Open Largest Casino in Oklahoma
Chickasaw Enterprises has opened Riverwind Casino, the largest casino in Oklahoma.
The casino is situated in a two hundred nineteen square foot building on more than fifteen acres of south of Norman. The casino is double the size of The Mirage Casinos and Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.
The casino had started the gaming operation last July 17 and without publicity over two thousand people had lined up at the casino gates.
The casino grand opening will be held on August 10, 2006.
Brian Campbell, Chief Executive Officer of Chickasaw Enterprises, said that they are creating the casino in a Las Vegas style.
The Riverwind Casino is the eighteenth casino for the Chickasaw Nation and the largest casino in Oklahoma.
The casino will employ one thousand eight hundred full and part time employees.
CEO Campbell predicted major economic opportunities for the local employment.
The casino offers two thousand two hundred twenty electronic table games, horse racing betting room, seventy two blackjacks and poker room.
The horse betting room will have live telecast of races across the country.
Gourmet restaurants, coffee shop and bar lounges are available for guests.
An entertainment theater will feature performances by The Beach Boys, The Temptations and Jewel.
