Jacqueline and Gerald Kilcoyne, together with their small daughter, had come to Las Vegas to have a pleasant family vacation. Little did they know that they would be having a nightmare of sorts instead.
According to court documents published on Wednesday, the couple is suing Caesar's Palace Las Vegas hotel- casino. The document claims their five-year-old daughter found a used condom in their bed and, as if that wasn't enough, put it in her mouth.
The husband and wife are suing Caesar's Palace for negligence and emotional distress after the incident in July 2004 involving their daughter Caitlin.
According to the suit filed July 13 in district court, Caitlin "found a used condom in the made-up bed in her room, room 6430, and placed the condom in her mouth".
In the fear that their daughter might have contracted a communicable disease from putting the used condom in her mouth, the Kilcoynes rushed the girl to the hospital for extensive medical tests.
The plaintiffs claim they have suffered "shock, horror, fear, anxiety and distress" over the incident. They are suing the hotel for negligence, seeking at least $10,000 in damages, plus medical and legal expenses, the lawsuit said.
Harrah's Entertainment, owner and operator of Caesar's Palace Las Vegas, has not been available for comment.
