Annual Casino Night A Good Cause
The G.F.W.C. Williston Junior Women's Club's will hold their eight annual Casino Night on August 19, 2006 at seven in the evening.
The affair will be held at Williston Golf and Country Club.
The Levy County School Foundation's Teacher Classroom Grants will be the beneficiary of this year's casino night. One thousand dollars will also be given to the Williston High School college scholarship.
The event chairwoman, Catrina Sistrunk said that this is the first time that the Casino Night has a theme.
The popular casino games that will be featured include roulette, blackjack, poker, wheel of fortune, craps and bingo.
Silent auction, raffles and a live auction will also be offered during the casino night.
Sistrunk said that Casino Night is well supported by the community leaders and they are expecting a great evening that will help the community.
The response of the community will be the key to the success of the fundraising; Dara Bergdoll is keenly looking for the event sponsors as well as dealer volunteers to staff the casino night.
Casino Night of the Women's Club had brought up twenty eight thousand dollars over the years. The previous beneficiaries were school foundation, Williston Youth Athletics and children with chronic diseases.
