the owners of the West Virginia 4 racetrack casinos were not able to persuade the West Virginia legislature to expand and spread out gambling options in the state. The owners now plans to take their case directly to the public and let the public decide.
The president of the West Virginia Racing Association, John C Avacini says he and his group plan to use the television and radio advertising to let the public know the possibilities of expansion of gambling. The group wants to let the people to be aware of the casino game expansion and they want the public to have an option of election in the 4 counties with race track casinos. The local election will help determine if those casinos will be permitted to offer popular casino games such as blackjack, poker ad roulette.
The four race tracks are located in Jefferson, Hancock, Kanawha and Ohio counties. Right now, these four counties offers slot machines and they plan to offer table games.
According to the racetrack owners, there is a dire need to offer table games more than the slot machine games because slot machines now are offered and operating in Pennsylvania.
Avacini said that the gambling industry is working doubly hard with the help of lawmakers to re-introduce the bill at the next regular session.
As another enticement, Charles Town Races and Slots owner, said that his company will have an investment of 500 room hotel and conference center worth of $200 million if it will have the permit to have table games.
Another racetrack owner indicates a similiar plan if it will be permitted to have a gambling expansion.
Millions of dollars worth of revenues are given into the state from the gambling industry. The growth of poker games and if ever the addition of legal games, revenues will literally soars for the four local economies and to the state as a whole.
The people tend to be cynical, more money revenues would come but are these states ready for addiction in gamblingA Ohe gambling race between states are on but who will be benefited.
If the expansion of gambling industry will expand in the West Virginia, a vote of entire state is necessary. More than the Hancock, Jefferson, Kanawha and Ohio would gain or lose if the West Virginia will become the next East Nevada and everyone on the state should get involved and will have to make an important decision.
