Blackjack Switch Variation
The Blackjack Switch Variation allows the players to play with two hands and swap (or switch) between their hands' second dealt cards. Initially you must bet both hands equally. The players are allowed to switch the two top cards to make one (or two) good Blackjack hand(s) before hitting.
What does the house get in return? You are right to think the casinos would not let this advantage go by on the player's side without some sort of catch. In the Blackjack Switch variant something totally contrary to standard Blackjack rules is allowed:
- The dealer (but not the player) can draw 22 and it is considered a push.
- Dealer's 22 ties with a player's 21 hand, unless it is a blackjack (pays 1:1).
- A tie means you lose and the dealer wins.
- Player may double on any two cards and after a split.
- The dealer must always draw an additional card when he has 17 with an ace.
